Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in all types of weather, with flexibility of the work schedule dependent on the client requirement
  • Must be available to work days, nights and weekends as required. Hours may vary depending on the season
  • Work with and alongside lead hands and laborers to successfully complete the required work
  • Follow direction as provided by the Site Supervisor, lead hand, and spotter.
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance, cleanliness and conditions
  • Review all jobs assigned to ensure no issues and properly plan to use all materials effectively, report any deviation to the Site Supervisor
  • Participate in the safety culture and complete all required paperwork in accordance with the company policy’s and work safe procedure
  • Accountable for proper and timely reporting of accidents, near miss, first aid, and incidents to Site Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience on heavy equipment
  • Previous experience on a Rubber Tire Excavator considered a asset
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License
  • Must be reliable, responsible and conduct oneself in a professional manner; company perception and customer satisfaction are key to our success
  • An energetic team player who can work well and communicate with others, as well as be self-directed and work independently
  • Ability to work year round in all types of weather which may involve muddy, slippery or icy surface conditions, and typically included walking around job sites on uneven terrain
  • Maintain good physical condition, situational awareness and judgement in order to respond quickly and work safely in a safety sensitive environment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with tools and small equipment
  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work area
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe
  • Follow safety procedures with fellow workers
  • Perform miscellaneous labour activities and assist tradespersons
  • Work productively within a crew
  • Take direction from crew supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Clean driving record

Working Environment

Exposure to elements – Outdoor work

We are currently looking for pipe layers for current heavy/civil construction projects. Individuals with pipe laying and related experience are encouraged to apply.  Candidate that meets these requirements:
  • Experience in various aspects of road construction, underground sewer and water installation, and public works construction preferred.
  • Safety minded work ethic and knowledge required for effective use of safety equipment including trench safety equipment, confined space equipment.
  • Understanding of work practices required to ensure quality of completed work.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability and skills to perform physical labor effectively and efficiently as required.
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Description

Office Administrator provides general accounting and administrative support, including tasks such as reception duties, direct calls, provides general office support to AP, AR, payroll and project duties.  Also responsible for the companies Utility Locate Administration which consists of Requesting ON1Call tickets, resolve locate conflicts, monitor ongoing projects for remarks/relocates.

Quality checks, update project locate packages.

Experience using MS Office and Quick Books accounting software preferred but not required.
